The Friends of the South Fayette Township Library is a volunteer organization that advocates and promotes the library as a vital community asset. The mission of the Friends of the South Fayette Township Library is to raise funds, encourage volunteerism, and to support and cooperate with the Library in developing, maintaining, and enhancing facilities, resources, and services for the public.

Friends’ Support Makes A Difference
Each year, our Friends’ contributions are responsible for funding new collection items, resources, and specials projects. Friends’ support has also allowed the library to offer a variety of children, teen and adult programming, including the library’s popular summer programs. In 2025, the Friends’ raised almost $25,000 for South Fayette Township Library, including sponsoring both Beer for Books and an online raffle as part of Love Your Library month in September.
The Friends of the Library is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
