New Logo Unveiled
South Fayette, PA, Release: July 12, 2019. For Immediate Release
The South Fayette Township Library announces the adoption of a new logo that is unique to South Fayette and better reflects the breadth of library resources, programs, and services.
A committee made up of members from the Library staff and Board of Trustees worked with graphic designer Frank Viera to develop the new logo.
Inspired by the township’s logo, the group quickly settled on “South Fayette green”, then set about trying to capture the significance of a modern community library in a clean professional manner. “Libraries are so much more than just books, now,” reflects Ben Hornfeck, Library Director. Along with an impressive print collection, the South Fayette Township Library offers a wide array of digital resources, programs for all ages, and services to the community, including outreach to local schools and preschools.
While the cover of the book acts as a foundation, the pages open to all of the resources and possibilities the library provides to the community. The new logo is rooted in the history of libraries, but is better suited for the continued growth of the library and the community it serves.
The Library will use the new logo on the website and printed materials going forward to help the community recognize resources and programs it provides.
